Five barcode labels will be generated for Glucose (F/Ox) samples (0min, 30mins, 60mins, 90min, 120mins) and five barcode labels will be generated for GH (SST tube) samples (0min, 30mins, 60mins, 90min, 120mins)

Collection & Request Instructions:

1. The patient should fast from 10pm the day prior to the morning test

2. Collect baseline glucose and GH, and IGF-1 (if IGF-1 is requested)

3. Give 75g oral glucose load

4. Collect GH (SST tube) and Glucose (Fluoride Oxalate tube) every 30 minutes for 2 hours

Processing Instructions:

GH: Collect SST tube at ambient temperature, centrifuge, aliquot, store frozen (for sendaway to the Alfred Pathology Service)

Glucose: Collect fluoride oxalate tube at ambient temperature, centrifuge. Analysed in-house at NPV
