THROMBOPHILIA SCREEN - REQUESTING DOCTOR MUST ORDER INDIVIDUAL TESTS. CONSULT WITH HAEMATOLOGIST IF NECESSARY. REFER TO THE INDIVIDUAL TESTS FOR SAMPLE REQUIREMENTS.

Tests commonly included in a thrombophilia assessment are: anti-thrombin, protein C and protein S levels, activated protein C resistance, Factor V Leiden and prothrombin gene (20210A) mutations, lupus anticoagulant and anti-cardiolipin and anti-2GP1 antibodies, Homocysteine fasting, coagulation Screen.
