CSF sample should be directed to Microbiology (NPV) prior to forwarding to refer laboratory.

Can be ordered in combination with: NMDA, GABA_{B ,} AMPA, ANTI- CASPR2, ANTI- DPPX. (1.0ml csf is adequate for combination testing).

Samples suitable for auto-antibody screening:

Blood Serum: request for 5.0 mls of blood collected in serum gel tube (SST).

CSF: request for 1.0ml

Samples not available for delivery following collection are to be stored at 4^o C. Storage at 4oC is suitable for up to 2 weeks thereafter samples need to be frozen and sent on dry ice.
