Collection & Request Instructions:A separate container is required for this test.

Specimens to be collected only on Monday to Thursday (Except for where a public holiday falls on the following day). Specimens more than 48 hours old cannot be tested and a recollection will be requested.

Please ensure that blood for molecular testing for BCRABL is collected in a separate dedicated sterile tube. Molecular specimens must NOT be put through any analysers. 

Tube handling must be minimized to prevent contamination.

For bone marrow/non blood samples and/or non-p210 requests, collection and transport needs to be sent to referring laboratory within 24hrs of collection.
