Studies show testosterone levels in women falling with age. This process starts before the menopause and continues further after the menopause (Yeap et al. JCEM 97: 408-415, 2012). In healthy older men testosterone levels also drop mildly with age (Yeap et al. JCEM 97: 4030-4039, 2012).
