Only JAK2V617F (or exon 14) can be sent as a single gene request. If only "JAK2" is written on the request, please clarify with the Laboratory Haematology Registrar/Consultant.

JAK2e12 (exon 12) can no longer be requested as a single gene panel. Please refer to the Laboratory Haematology Registrar/Consultant.

Do not send JAK2 and MPN panel request concurrently. MPN panel contains JAK2 hence there is no need to send for JAK2 if MPN panel had been requested.
