Registration Instructions

Must receive a 10ml EDTA to perform this test. 

Code B19 is for peripheral blood request for p190 only.

If it is a bone marrow sample (regardless of whether it is p190 or p210), use BCR and send out to PMC.

For other rare transcripts, the sendout lab will depend on the requested transcripts (use generic lab-specific code).

Collection & Request Instructions:A separate container is required for this test.

Specimens to be collected only on Monday to Thursday (Except for where a public holiday falls on the following day). Specimens more than 48 hours old cannot be tested and a recollection will be requested.

Please ensure that blood for molecular testing for BCRABL is collected in a separate dedicated sterile tube. Molecular specimens must NOT be put through any analysers. 

Tube handling must be minimized to prevent contamination.
