| 2nd April 2024 | Collection & Request Instructions | Pre and Post vaccination sera required. Send second serum approximately 6 weeks post vaccination.
The pre serum will be stored for a maximum of 6 months awaiting the post serum.
Instruct patients to return to the same collection centre so that specimen matching can occur.
Serum from splenectomy patients will be sent on receipt. Indicate clearly on the request slip.
| PLEASE NOTE : Samples for this test cannot be dispatched to the referral laboratory until Pathologist approval has been obtained.
